This book was inspired by the discovery of hundreds of photos from my family dating as early as the 1930s that I found to be particularly eerie and supernatural; reminiscent of both nightmarish and pleasant qualities of lucid dreams. Lucid explores themes of confusion, impermanence, and the transient nature of the human existence while describing methods to achieve dream consciousness.
